Unlike conventional biaxial fabrics where the warp and weft yarns intersect at 90 degrees, triaxial fabrics consist of a lattice-like structure where three yarns intersect at 60 degrees, allowing loads to be distributed in three directions, making them very lightweight yet strong. By using a dual-structure yarn with a high melting point core and a low melting point outer layer, the fabric can undergo thermal molding processes.
